CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON: ADVANCES IN LAND CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT AND REMEDIATION
SEPTEMBER 2017, UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE, GLASGOW

SCLF is pleased to announce its eighth annual one day conference, which will take place during the first two weeks of September 2017 – date to be confirmed once venue bookings are finalised.  We expect to emulate last year’s highly successful event.  The aim of the conference is to facilitate knowledge transfer in the contaminated land sector.

SCLF 2017 will again contain a mix of academic research papers, good practice and regulatory review presentations with a poster display area and space for exhibitors’ stands.

The conference will be headlined by a keynote presentation and will be supported by panel discussions to discuss emerging issues.  We strive to deliver an interdisciplinary mix of presenters and a broad spectrum of perspectives on the current state of contaminated land.

With this in mind, you are cordially invited to submit an abstract for either a 20 – 25 minute talk within the main conference programme or a short description of your academic poster.

General Submission Instructions

Your abstract or description should be submitted for consideration by the conference organising committee, by email titled ‘2017 conference abstract’ to admin@sclf.co.uk.  Your submission MUST include the following:

1. Do you wish to make a presentation or display a poster?
2. Please provide a title for your talk or poster (for use in our promotional material)
3. Please provide an abstract (no more than 350 words) or a short poster description)
4. Please list all authors involved, including name and affiliation, and a contact email
5. For presenters only, a short biography (~100 words) to be submitted with the abstract (biographies may be used in our promotional material)!

We are a community conference and, whilst we cannot reward speakers beyond the waiving of the admission fee, we aim to keep the conference as affordable and inclusive as possible.
