Conference Programme
The programme for the SCLF Annual Conference is now available and you can now book your ticket by visiting the conference webpage!
This year we have another exciting line up with sessions focusing on:
Updates for the Scottish Government, Reviewing progress on tackling vacant and derelict land and the importance of community growing and the barriers in place to allow the development of vacant and derelict land
Risk Assessments, NP94 and its implications for gas protection measures and the potential emerging contaminants of microplastics
An afternoon of remediation, including microbial-induced calcite precipitation for organic contaminants, sustainability of ex situ remediation, enzyme mediated mineral precipitation, and the remediation of chromium, TPH and LNAPL
We have a fantastic selection of speakers from a wide range of organisations, companies and the University of Glasgow and hope you can make it! There will also be plenty of opportunity for networking with breaks throughout the day. You can also visit our exhibition too!
Conference Venue
We are returning to The Studio in Hope Street, Glasgow as you told us how much you like it last year! Handy for public transport and with plenty of space and great views over the city.
This is a chilled, comfortable space that we hope you will enjoy. With on demand refreshments including bean to cup coffee as well as free wifi to post all your conference updates on your socials, you will have everything you need to enjoy your day with us!
Accessibility
The venue has a lift and we will be providing a separate 'Quiet Room' which can be used if you need a break from the conference. We are proactive to do whatever we can to make our event accessible and inclusive...but please get in touch if there is something that you think we should be doing!
Sustainability
It was also important to us to choose a venue that was committed to providing their services sustainably. The Studio have successfully completed the Greengage Ecosmart accreditation and have achieved a GOLD rating at their Glasgow venue. Ecosmart is an industry recognised standard which provides re-assurance that sustainability will be at the heart of our event and at the forefront of our minds.
Tickets
Tickets are now on sale! We have been able to hold our ticket prices at £60 this year. However, if cost is a barrier then please consider applying for a bursary to cover your ticket and travel costs.
Exhibition
We are delighted to have i2Analytical as our headline sponsor this year. A big thank you to them and all our exhibitors who have already secured their spot.
We have a limited number of spaces remaining for exhibitors - space will be allocated on a first come basis.
We look forward to welcoming you at #SCLF2024!
