Join the SCLF Executive Committee (2026-2028)

Are you passionate about making a real difference to Scotland’s land, environment, and communities? The Scottish Contaminated Land Forum (SCLF) is looking for engaged and motivated professionals to join our Executive Committee.

This year, we have 7 vacancies to be filled at our AGM on 19 September 2025. If you’re ready to share your expertise, grow your professional network, and help shape the future of sustainable land reuse in Scotland, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Join?

Becoming part of the SCLF Executive Committee is more than a volunteer role – it’s an opportunity to:

Shape policy and practice – contribute to national discussions and industry consultations that influence the way contaminated and brownfield land is managed.

Grow your profile – strengthen your professional standing by being part of a respected forum promoting the effective and sustainable reuse of brownfield land in Scotland

Expand your network – connect with experts, peers, and decision-makers across consultancy, industry, government, and academia.

Develop new skills – gain experience in event planning, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership through helping to deliver our webinar programme and annual conference.

Give back – play a key role in supporting economic growth, protecting communities, and enhancing Scotland’s environment.

What’s Involved

  • Meetings: Executive Committee meetings are held online every 2 months.

  • Activities: Members contribute to organising webinars, responding to industry consultations, and supporting the flagship annual conference.

  • Time Commitment: Around 3 hours per month. We ask that employers support their staff by allowing this time during the working day.

Further details of responsibilities are available on the nomination form.

Who Can Apply?

  • Any current SCLF member (yes, if you receive our emails, you’re a member!).

  • Retiring members are welcome to stand again.

  • We particularly welcome early-career professionals and those keen to take an active role in our events programme.

How to Apply

Simply complete our nomination form linked below by 5pm on Friday 5 September 2025. You’ll be asked to:

  • Provide details of a proposer and seconder (both SCLF members)

  • Share a short biography

  • Describe why you’d like to join and your vision for SCLF

You can also nominate yourself. If more than 7 nominations are received, a vote will take place at the AGM using the information from your form.

Ready to Get Involved?

This is your chance to use your expertise to influence, inspire, and lead in the land contamination and brownfield sector in Scotland.
